About Us

The Maroons Backstage Booster Club was established in 2024 to support the theatre and drama program at Champaign Central High School.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to strengthen the student theatre experience by providing financial support, volunteers, resources, and community connections that help productions and educational opportunities succeed. We support both the students who perform on stage and the many students who contribute through technical theatre, design, costumes, lighting, sound, stage management, and other behind-the-scenes roles.

Our Mission

Our mission is to support and enhance theatre education at Champaign Central High School by encouraging student participation, assisting with productions and program needs, engaging families and community partners, and helping create opportunities for students to develop creativity, confidence, collaboration, and technical and performance skills.

The Maroons Backstage Booster Club believes that theatre is an important part of a well-rounded education and that every student involved in a production has a meaningful role to play.
